Water heaters are a modern convenience that many find difficult to believe we ever lived without. Just think – for the majority of the workday, while you’re not even at your home, inside your water heater there is a pool of water that sits unused. That water is getting heated and reheated and reheated and reheated all day until it’s finally called on to come out of your faucet.
This inefficiency can be a significant expense on a homeowner’s utility bill. For that reason, some homeowners have decided to invest in tankless water heating technology. Tankless water heaters are typically installed very near the plumbing fixture(s) that use them, and they heat water on demand as it flows in from the pipe instead of relying on a water reservoir. The best part about this process is that while the tankless water heater isn’t being used, it’s not drawing any electricity.
