As a homeowner, you’re especially aware of the many different things that require professional help to keep your home in great condition. One thing that you may not have thought of as being a task that’s easy enough to do for yourself is replacing a faucet. Believe it or not, this is a pretty straightforward chore.
Of course, a new faucet will have its own set of instructions, which you should certainly look at, but there is a general order of events that is typically followed when installing a faucet. First, you’ll want to turn off the water. If that wasn’t already obvious to you, it will be if you forget this step! Then, remove the old faucet with a wrench and remove the nuts from below the faucet. Once the old faucet is gone, all you’ll need to do is connect the new one in basically the same place as the old one, and turn the water back on. Voila! You’re in business.
