Whether they’re moving back into an office after working from home throughout this pandemic, moving into a new building because their startup has taken off very well, or they’re expanding to a larger workspace, people are moving into (or back into) commercial buildings for the first time in a while. If you’re in one of these – or similar – situations, it may be easy to just go with the first option that presents itself to you. However, you might want to consider a few things before moving into (or back into) a place of business.

Most of the considerations center around the needs of your business. E-commerce has exploded in the past two years; are you doing more business online? Is the internet that’s available in your destination workplace going to be able to keep up with you and your employees? Has the building gone unoccupied for several years now? It might need to have some maintenance done on the electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems to ‘shake off the rust’.
